On March 10, the first batch of parts for the bumper project—carried out as part of the collaboration between Haitian and Leapmotor—was successfully rolled off the production line at the manufacturing facility in Jinhua, Zhejiang. This development represents a significant and concrete step forward in the two companies’ strategic partnership in the automotive parts industry. This success, which aligns closely with the LEAP3.5 technical architecture and the pre-sale process for the B10 model announced by Leapmotor on the same day, reinforces the brand’s vision of “high quality, high-spec, and accessible smart electric vehicles.”

The roll-off ceremony was attended by senior executives, including Dai Bin, Deputy General Manager of the Resin Product Line Technical Quality Department at Leapmotor; Xiao Dasheng, Senior Manager of the Resin Product Line Production Department; and Xu Bin, Deputy General Manager of the Global Sector Line at Haitian Plastic Machinery, who witnessed this important milestone.

The newly commissioned bumper production line utilizes the Haitian HA33000-20200 super-large-tonnage injection molding machine. The line is integrated with advanced automation technologies such as a mold transfer cart, magnetic plate system, six-axis robot, automatic runner cutting system, flame surface treatment unit, automatic weighing system, fixture change platform, laser marking, AGV transfer systems, and automated storage and retrieval (AS/RS) solutions. Thus, the entire process—from raw material feeding to precision molding and final processing—is managed end-to-end with a smart production infrastructure.

In addition to the four main automated molding systems, Haitian Smart Solutions has also specially designed and commissioned complete water, electricity, and gas infrastructure systems, along with a central raw material feeding system, for Leapmotor’s bumper production line. This integrated solution ensures stability and safety in the production environment while optimizing resource usage to reduce operational costs. Every stage of the process was meticulously addressed during the design and testing phases and structured with the goal of high efficiency and sustainable production.

The removal of the first part from the line also holds special significance as it coincides with the global pre-sale process for Leapmotor’s B10 model. Leapmotor, which aims to make smart electric vehicles accessible to the masses, embraces the vision of “bringing advanced smart technology out of the luxury segment and making it accessible to everyone.”
